The claw locks into position when the spring loaded push-pin reaches the designated point.

Installation on puppy pi robot. The claw is mounted on the front of the robot, with a bowden cable running to a leg motor at the back for actuation.
Project Limitations: The claw's gripping strength is limited by the passive mechanism, making it less effective for heavier objects. This was a byproduct of the design constraints and the focus on simplicity and reliability. Electronics were not in scope for this project, so the claw is manually actuated via a bowden cable connected to a leg motor.
